The qualifier race

Race rules and requirements

Lisi Trail Festival is a trail running event combining multiple races along the mountains and forests of Tbilisi, Georgia.

Distances and cut-off times

Lisi Ultra – 62km with a variation in altitude of 3000+m. Cut-off time 13:00 hours.
Lisi Marathon – 42km with a variation in altitude of 2250+m. Cut-off time 10:00 hours.
Lisi Trail Race – 20km with a variation in altitude of 1,000+m. Cut-off time 4:00 hours.
Lisi Sprint – 10km with a variation in altitude of 700+m. Cut-off time 2:30 hours.
Lisi Fun Run – 62km with a variation in altitude of 300+m. Cut-off time 3:00 hours.

Start and finish location

The start and finish of ALL the distances of Lisi Trail Festival is located at the Tsodoreti Lake.

The festival takes place on Saturday, 7th of May 2022.

Qualifier race

Lisi Ultra / Lisi Marathon / Lisi Trail Race are included in the UTMB® World Series Qualifiers (https://utmb.world/) and
certified by ITRA (https://itra.run/)

  • Lisi Ultra – 50K qualifier, 3 ITRA points
  • Lisi Marathon – 50k qualifier, 2 ITRA points
  • Lisi Trail Race – 20k qualifier, 1 ITRA point

The event is open to anyone who meet certain criteria:

– Adult (18+ y/o)

– In good physical condition

– Medical history without major health problems that will have a negative effect on the performance during the race and could lead to health complications during or after the race .

No qualifying races are necessary to register. However previous experience of similar activities is strictly recommended.

It’s participants responsibility to acknowledge race’s specialties, length and difficulty and  be physically and mentally well-prepared for the event


Only registered runners can participate in the event.

Registration is only possible online through tkt.ge/lisi2022

Exceptions may apply on team registrations

By registering the participant accepts all the race rules and regulation.

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Lisi Ultra – 210 GEL (Approx. 60 EUR)
  • Lisi Marathon – 140 GEL (Approx. 40 EUR)
  • Lisi Trail Race – 70 GEL (Approx. 20 EUR)
  • Lisi Sprint – 50 GEL (Approx. 15 EUR)
  • Lisi Fun Run – 30 GEL (Approx. 10 EUR)

The registration fee includes:

  • Race BIB
  • Assistance and refreshments along the route and at the
  • finish line
  • Starters pack
  • Unique finisher’s medal
  • Shuttle service
  • Free photos



Registration closes at 18:00 on May 6, 2022 (Tbilisi time)

The registration fee will be refunded fully within 2 weeks if a registration is cancelled before May 1, 2022. There will not be any refunds after this date.

Cancellation of the registrations can only be made by notifying the organization by email to run@traillab.ge

Registration transfer to another person can be requested only by email (on run@traillab.ge), until May 1, 2022 Requests in any other form are not accepted

To collect race bib numbers, participants must present a valid identity document (ID card or passport or driving license) and exhibit all
the mandatory equipment. Spot checks will be carried out.

Race BIBs will be distributed on the dates and locations listed below:

  • Vera Park on Thursday, May 5, 2022: 10:00 – 13:00
  • Vera Park on Friday May 6, 2022 : 15:00 – 19:00
  • Start location on Saturday, May 7, 2022: 05:00 – 05:30


During the race, the Lisi Ultra and Lisi Marathon participants are required to carry the mandatory items listed below:
– race bib number (visible during the entire duration of the race)
– appropriate footwear for trail running
– windbreaker jacket
– hat or bandana
– charged mobile phone with valid sim-card or running roaming service
– emergency blanket
Spot checks on equipment may be carried out during the race.

During the race Lisi Trail Race, Lisi Sprint, Lisi Fun Run participants are required to carry the following:
– race bib number (visible during the entire duration of the race)
– appropriate footwear for trail running

Participants are also advised to bring the following equipment with them:

– water reserve of at least 1 liter
– energy gels or solid food
– salt tablets / electrolytes
– sunglasses
– sunscreen

Trekking poles are permitted.

Start time

As mentioned above, all Lisi Trail Festival races take place on 7-May-2022

  • Lisi Ultra / Lisi Marathon – 06:00 AM
  • Lisi Trail Race / Lisi Sprint / Lisi Fun Run – 10:00 AM

Participants are required to be at the starting area at least 45 minutes in advance.

Bag drop
There will be a bag deposit at the starting area. Bags must clearly exhibit the sticker with a runner’s BIB number, which will be handed out at the registration desk.

Participants are advised NOT to place objects of value in their bags. Organizers accept no liability for any theft, loss or damage
to bags or their contents.

There will be free shuttle service available on the race day from the city center to the starting area and back

Organizers reserve the right to change any parts of the course, places of aid stations, checkpoints or modify the time and location
of the start without prior notice due to severe weather conditions or other unexpected reasons.
Any changes will be announced to the participants before the race, or at refreshment points during the race.

Most of the route is on trekking paths and rocky ground on certain sections. Participants are strongly advised to have experience
in running on such terrain. The route will be marked with reflective bands and other means. Participants should strictly adhere to the marked race route and
avoid taking shortcuts or cutting out sections of the route.

Any departures from the official route will lead to disqualification and shall be at the sole risk of participants.

There will be checkpoints along the race routes. Passages from these points will be checked and various refreshments will be available.
Some checkpoint has a time limit listed below. Participants who arrive at a checkpoint after the designated time limit will not be
allowed to continue.

Lisi Ultra – 5 checkpoints
CP1 – 10.0 KM
CP2 – 23.3 KM (cut-off 5.5 hrs)
CP3 – 37.5 KM
CP4 – 46.0 KM (cut-off 9.0 hrs)
CP5 – 55.0 KM (cut-off 11.5 hrs)

Lisi Marathon – 4 checkpoints
CP1 – 10.0 KM
CP2 – 23.3 KM (cut-off 5.5 hrs)
CP3 – 26.2 KM
CP4 – 35.3 KM (cut-off 8 hrs)

Lisi Trail Race – 3 checkpoints
CP1 – 5.0 KM
CP2 – 10.0 KM (cut-off 2.5 hrs)
CP3 – 16.2 KM

Lisi Sprint – 1 checkpoint
CP1 – 5.0 KM

Lisi Fun Run – 1 checkpoint
CP1 – 4.0 KM

The following infringements will lead to disqualification from the race:

  • Failing to pass a check point
  • Taking a major shortcut or using a vehicle.
  • Insulting or threatening staff or volunteers
  • Not obeying the decisions given by the medical personnel or organization.
  • Rejecting the mandatory equipment check by the organization (where applicable)
  • Failing to help a participant in difficulty.
  • Throwing away rubbish or harming the natural habitat.
  • The disqualified participant will not be allowed to continue the race.

All other cases not discussed above will be judged by the organizers.

Penalties or disqualification can be appealed by an email to run@traillab.ge within 24 hours from the publication of race results.
